I know that I have heard people talking about a loose sounding "metal ball
in a box noise that occurs in the rear of some E30's.

Could someone tell me what the most common causes of these noises are?

I recall one of them being a loose jack, this is not it.  tight.  I
checked the spare tire too.

Could it be a broken shockmount?


Any direct replies would be GREATLY appreciated.
