You can buy ( from a dealer or from most of the BMW mail order places)
all of the above - the sticker replacements (cheap) or the
metal/plastic/painted roundels for hood, trunk, and wheel centers. They
 are around $15 (+-5) each I think.

The stickers are just stickers, and don't look as good as the real
metal/plastic emblems.

I've had both metal roundels and plastic roundels and don't know what
you get when you buy them now. Probably plastic.
