My comment is: Why didn't they fire that mechanic? I don't think I'd feel as
comfortable as you seem to feel that the bozo wouldn't actually work on my
car again, in spite of their assurances. In other words, I wouldn't go back
there as long as that guy continued to work there. The fact that they didn't
fire him tells me that deep down inside they don't care, and you just
received a bunch of lip service.
Ask yourself- if you were the manager of that dealer, and you cared about
your customer relations (two big if's :-)), would you keep that mechanic?
