RE: 525 Gas Mileage?

Jim Hassi, you asked:

As a point of reference, I have gotten as high as 23.3 MPG on a tankful with
sustained highway driving in my 540. This was with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a
trunkful of luggage. The car had only 1500 miles at the time, so the engine
wasn't broken in yet. Since that time, I haven't put a full tank of
highway-mileage driving on the car, so I can't say what it would be like now,
with nearly 8K miles. I normally average about 17 mpg for most of my
driving, which is a 33 mile RT commute at 70-80 MPH, but with regular
slow-downs for lots of left-lane drivers who appear to be thinking about
other things than driving.

I've never owned a 525, but I'm surprised yours doesn't do better on the
highway.
