You don't HAVE to put synthetic in - but you want to. Redline
MTL (assuming you have a manual transmission) will do nicely.
Spend the extra buck - if you put conventional lube in your
transmission ... well ... the first time the temperature gets
below 40 (F) you'll understand why they previous owner chose
synthetic.
