2002 Door Latching

Greetings,

I'm having difficulty closing the passenger side door on my '76 2002. The latch
will not engage unless I slam the door. This usually takes 3-4 tries and I am
worried that I will break the glass or cause damage to the lift mechanism with
the repeated excessive force. I solved a similar problem on the drivers door by
replacing the missing plastic tip on the catch with a section of tubing as
suggested in the 2002 tips on the Australian 2002 WEB page.  This didn't help
on the passenger door.

Any suggestions?
