Excellent post on how to do this. However, one critical element was
missing. Page O. Stoutland wrote:

This is true, but if you subsequently want to upgrade to M3 takeoff
wheels and tires, you'll want to substiture the M3 upper strut bearing
here for the one from your 325i. The M3 part is offset to induce more
postive caster, reducing the significant tramlining the 325i will
experience with 17in wheels and low-profile tires. Install the strut
bearing so that the arrow points toward the front of the car.
