I guess the question for me buying a used 92 318 is how can I tell if the gasket has been replaced? Is it possible to tell without readily available maintenance records? I guess my next step is to replace the coolant with phosphate free anti-freeze. Anything else I can do to minimize the possibility of the gasket failure? regards, Brent Smith
