Since ABS can pump brakes faster than a human can, we good drivers know =
when to use our equipment's capabilities for the results we want.  For =
instance, when urgent braking is needed on ice or snow, it is best to =
fully depress the brake and allow the ABS to bring the car to the =
fastest possible stop.  This is contrary to our old training and has to =
be learned.  A few times using this will quickly instill trust in the =
mechanicals.
