GM trans and Getrag 262 5speeds

Hate to shatter any illusion that inbreeding has not gotten to the "manual"
transmissions yet but, I have a Getrag 262 that requires replacement of the
short extension casing (the cast alum. extension that goes between the main
gear box and end plate/case on a 5 speed), the new cast alum. casing has the
GM logo cast into it.

As for GM auto trans in BMW's, just ask any BMW owner that has had to
replace/repair a ZF or Getrag auto trans in the older (or newer for that
matter) BMW's to get an idea if this "inbreeding" is good or bad.
