K&N Air Filter Rumors

Subject: K&N Air Filter Rumors

        I have heard that K&N air filters can actually cause you to lose hp,
has anyone heard or experienced the same.  I thought they guaranteed SOME
sort of hp increase?

I'd heard that from a Dinan sales rep sometime ago, Joshua.  Based on what I 
have experienced, it is not true.  It makes my engine run a little bit 
smoother and slightly more responsive.  But don't expect any marked 
improvement such as chips.
