1985 535i cam replacement
Greeting!
I have just been given news that the camshaft in my 1985 535i will need
replacing sometime soon because in some areas the hardened surface is
scored or worn badly. Since I am doing the replacement I have
entertained the idea of an aftermarket camshaft to increase performance.
The engine will be 100% stock otherwise. Is their a cam that you can
suggest (even from a different model that comes stock) that will improve
performance, still be driveable, and still be emission legal in
California? (I want my cake and I want to eat it too!) In their anything
besides the rocker arms that should be replaced? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
