We've got a stranded guy from Germany who brought over a 1985 728i on a 1
year waiver. Now he wants to convert the car to make US Legal. He's being
told by the port to bring the car & $4000 & They'll return to him in a
month? Anyone have recent experience or memory of doing this. EPA & DOT have
not been too helpful.Please respond privately as I'm sure this doesnt have
wide appeal. The stranded German & I THANK YOU in advance
