Achawin,
Achawin was wanting help tracking down a midnight false alarm problem.
Some good news - if you have the new BMW alarm system, and it sounds like you
do, it indicates the cause of the alarm using the dash mounted LED. Check your
manual, (I read it one day and found that the alarm has many features - silent
arming/disarming, revolving codes to prevent code grabbing, support for 4
remotes, etc, etc... and the sales guy said it was the simplest alarm in the
world!) I think the LED will flash a different pattern if the alarm has gone
off (I don't know what happens after 36 hours with this because it will turn
off the LED after being armed for 36 hours to save battery power) and when you
disarm it using the remote, it will flash a code telling why it went off for 1
minute or until you start the car. Read that little manual, its quite exciting
:-)
Hope that helps,
Brendon.
