318i oil consumption

just wanted to add my name to the list of 318i's that appear to consume
oil...I added about a quart in 3000 miles, (total..17,000 miles) last go
around...my 325 w/ 136,000 miles doesn't need any oil in 3000 miles...go
figure...and Barry B used to say the eta's self destructed at this point
;-)
just curious though, is anyone concerned about the oil consumption on the
M42 engine?
