  the owner who has been experiencing intermittent taillight failure
  need to replace the taillight unit.  what happens is the metal
  strips (folded - then inserted into slots on the edges of the
  plastic ass'y) corrode, look o.k. to a quick inspection, then
  lose contact 'once in a while'
