<E36>Radiator Leak?

Help!  My brother's 1992 325i (E-36) has developed a slow coolant leak
(several drops are visible whenever he parks the car).  The leak doesn't
seem to be coming from any hoses, but rather from the radiator itself.  I
have heard the some E-36 models have had problems with the plastic radiator
tanks.  Is this a known problem with early E-36's?  Will BMW will
replace/fix the radiator or does my brother have to bite the bullet and have
the whole radiator replaced?

Any information is appreciated.
