<E36> HELP! Rear Spring Removal

Whoa!! Do NOT have someone jump/bounce on your hub to push the arm down
further. This may damage your CV joint! These joints are very costly!! The
rear diff must be lowered down temporarily for sufficient space.

When I replaced my rear spring on my 325es (E30), the rear diff had to be
dropped also. Its pretty easy, just one long bolt and a floor jack would
help. Most likely you have the axles swinging as far down as possible,
limited by the CV joints. So the rear diff has to drop down by about 2 to 3
inches and then the rear springs pop out.
