NEARLY FREE 1979 320i

I am about to junk my spare 1979 320i.  If no one wants it by late this
afternoon I am going to call a junkyard and have them drag it away.  Best
offer (no reserve) takes it away.

1979 BMW 320i.  Fjord blue / tan vinyl.  Passed NJ Inspection 12/95.  Runs
great, lots of rust, quite ugly.  Many new parts, but brakes are not
right.  I suspect either proportioning valve or gunked-up tubes.  Most brake
hardware including hoses and wheel cylinders are new.  Many other new
parts.  New e-brake cables (not installed) included.  Battery relocated
to trunk.  Engine runs very strong.  Car is fast, just can't stop.  Was
in at least one accident a long time ago, front metal not quite right.
Hood held down by bolt through hood.  No carpet (was removed to replace
rusted floor).  Leaks rain.  A/C and console removed, but I'll put it in
the trunk for you.  New shocks, gas filter, air filter.  Oil changed
regularly for the 10K or so miles I had it; goodness only knows what
the fools that owned it before me did.  Approx. 150K miles, but actually
unknown since the odo was not working when I got it.  Speedometer is
not working, but that can actually get you out of speeding tickets
(worked twice for my wife, who blamed her husband for not taking care of
the car; the cops let her go, so I never tried to fix it.)

Absolutely no warranty; as is; I do not guarantee the car roadworthy.
This car will not currently pass inspection due to condition of brakes.

With a little bit of work this would actually be quite a fun car to drive.
My wife enjoyed driving it very much before the brakes stopped working,
and I don't have the time/patience to fix it again.  She drove it all winter
in the snow with Blizzaks (not included), and really enjoyed scooting
around.  I really hate to junk it, but I want it gone now, before I end
up putting more time and money into it.
