260 Trans strangeness



        Car  is  an '89 325ix with model 260 5-spd manual gearbox.  Car was
towed in with tranny lock in what appears to be 1st  and  rev.   1-2  shift
rail  was  in  1st and 5th-rev rail was in rev when the box came out of the
car.  During removal of the rear case, whatever was  stuck  became  unstuck
and  the  unit  appears to work OK now.  Anyone else run into this problem?
