Need used metric tires for 533i...

A friend of mine is in dire straights and needs some help.  He has a 533i
(don't know the year) that has the stock metric wheels and tires.  The tires
on the car now are down to the threads and he'd like to put some used
tires on the car so he can sell it.

He's financially indebt to a point where it doesn't make sense to own the
car anymore and needs to get rid of it.  The first step is getting tires
for it.  (his son recently died of leukemia and the medical bills are
incredible)

Any help is appreciated.
