fuel hoses need replacement

My fuel hose need replacement as that have harden and developed small
cracks. Good time to change the filter too. What is the correct size of
the fuel hoses. Is this a straight forward replacement job? What to look
out for? Should I check anything while I'm at it? If I wasn't going to
change the fuel line I don't know how someone could reach the filter it's
located under the fuse box, real tigth area.
