Replica Body Panels...Friend of Foe?

Although I don't intend on needing any, I was wondering if anyone had any=
 experience with replica body panels? If for example I replace my bonnet,=
 and have a crash will a replica one crumple, absorbing the crash energy =
or will it fold in two and slice throgh the windscreen chopping my head o=
ff?

I cannot believe an Italian replica parts company would do the same safet=
y tests as BMW.
Am I just paranoid?
