I don't know what all the phosphate-fuss is, but I remember this thread a 
couple of years ago.  The answer must be in a FAQ somewhere, but I 
haven't perused them lately.  I just use phosphate-free antifreeze, and 
continue on in the "ignorance is bliss" mode.  Perhaps some chemist out 
there could enlighten us?  As to water wetter, I use it in my 2002, and 
it seems to lower the engine temp slightly, but not 30 degrees!  I think 
it helps a little, and doesn't hurt, so I drop it in.
