Alberto describes a problem he experienced with bird droppings etching into
the paint finish on his E36. Sad to say, this happened to me too, and I could
not totally remove the residue from some bird droppings that hit my roof. I
am going to work on the paint finish some more, but it seems to be indelibly
in the finish for now.

The car is question is a 95 318i sedan with artic grey paint and clearcoat.
