735i (E32) Exhaust

The E32 7 series is becoming a popular used car as the market price
continues to go down.  Many owners of these cars will need to replace the
exhaust system eventually....its a big piece, about 7' long from the cat
back.  BMW is discontinuing the 1 piece exhaust (18101709473) for the short
wheelbase cars and forcing their customers to purchase the center muffler
and rear mufflers separately.  However, in doing so, the total assembly will
now cost several hundred dollars more.  The better shops and dealership
mechanics that I sell to prefer the 1-piece assemblies as the installation
is much easier.
If you currently own one of these cars and intend to keep it, it might not
be a bad idea to purchase one of the 1-piece factory exhausts for future use
(suggested list price is $520)...the list price for the separate pieces is
over $800.  SD
I'd advise anyone who has the storage room and money and owns & intends to
keep one of these carsone of these and some of the more quality conscious
owners will not touch the Ansa or Bosal aftermarket exhausts (these are only
available as 2-piece units) and
