Thanks to all who replied, especially Mauricio, Terry, and Chris. The crack
is a single line across the entire lens.  From some of the posts this sounds
like it may fall into the "thermal stress fracture" category.  The only
problems is that it has been 70- 90 degrees and super humidity over the past
two weeks here in Cleveland, but what the heck I'm gonna' play the warranty
game.  ;)  You better believe that Griot's and Impart are gonna' get a call
requsting the lexon covers AND the 3M tape- better safe than dissapointed.
