According to the M3 newsletter that I subscribe to, SOME 16" rims will fit
very nicely. Bill Grove at the Tire Rack, (who owns a '95 M3), says that the
following rims will fit:
Fittipaldi Exclusive 16x7.5 ET40 5 spoke $229
Fittipaldi Sebring 16x7.5 ET40 Mesh $229
Procast 3 spoke 16x7.5 ET30 $213
Imola Gotti 16x7.5 ET40 no price

We had an '95 M3 with 16" rims at our last drivers school at Watkins Glen,
and he had no problems with tire/rim clearance problems. (I can't remember
what type of rims, sorry...)
