Before my beemer days, I had a "chipped" Ford Escort RS Turbo Mk1. My car
also started to loose collant from the expansion tank for no apparent
reason. It was fixed by replacing the expansion tank - my overflow had a
little metal insert which had rusted - blocked up the overflow & mucked
about with the pressure there.
Check if the same has happened on the M3.
