BMW has changed the way they do Euro Delivery over the past 30 years.
Shipping across the Atlantic and to your dealer is included free from
anywhere in Europe that has a Harms office. Radios are installed in
Munich for use in Europe and then removed by Harms. US radios are
installed at POE, as well as alarm systems.
You get a free lunch or breakfast at the delivery point. All you can eat
or drink at no charge for you and your SO. 50 liters of gas (not full tank).
Take U-bahn to delivery point from Airport ($10) on a daily pass. Taxi
from downtown is $12.
Insurance covers any damage to car, including glass, paint, stolen items
that are a part of car. Work done at POE.
Dealers get 8% discount off Euro Deliv prices. If you can get 3 or 4%
off, consider it a bargain. BMWCCA rebate applies to Euro delivery
prices. As an example, you can get a loaded 95 530i for $40,000 including
all taxes, duty, and rebate, and the dealer still makes about $2000.
