Report on virus, rear defrost

Another point I forgot to mention in my previous message.

Someone on this list posted a report from an agency (joint university & US
govenment project) concluding that the virus alert that we all received is
nothing but hoax. Can someone here send me a copy of this report by email.

On my 733i my rear defrost switch was broken (burnt out), replaced it with
a used one which got burned. Finally I connected the two terminals to a
relay thru heavy gauge wires (12 or 14). Now the rear defrost works but
not very well. One of the wires (the original ones, not mine) gets very
hot and if left long enough will start to burn.

Any similar experiences? Any suggestions?
