Doorlock Lube

For a long time, only dry graphite was recommended for locks, because oil
would stiffen with age. This was the conventional wisdom even long after
oils had improved. About 15 years ago, Briggs and Stratton, the major
supplier of locks to the US auto indusrty, made WD40 their official lube.
It has always worked for me, and it handles water better than dry graphite.

But the best lock lube of all is American Dripless Lock Lube, which is
basically WD40 with graphite in it.
