mail problems

we seem to have had a problem with our name server here, which triggered
a mail loop.  rebooting our file server seems to have kick started
everything; hopefully the problem is over now.

additionally, the digest versions of bmw and italian-cars have been
transitioned over to a new digestifier; the transition has been
somewhat rocky, but the new digestifier should be substantially
"wedge" proof, and will provide for email accessible digest archives
as well.
