[bmw] FS worn out 325is

About a month ago I asked this list about low compression and hard starting.
 Well, it's final.  Two independent mechanics told me the same thing.  I can no
longer expect the engine to start with the starter due to low compression.
 What the actual cause may be is still speculation, but the fact remains I will
not invest in an engine for this car.  I can start the car by jump starting.
 In fact, I drove it from one mechanic to the other, on the interstate, at
speeds up to 95 mph, but it still won't start with the starter or idle
smoothly.  It doesn't even burn oil.  Go figure.

Would anyone like this car? I just advertised it in the city paper for $1100
OBO but thought I'd mention it to this list.  It's an '88, 271000 miles, gold,
with sunroof.  New (within the past year) components are: starter, fuel pump,
exhaust, refurbished A/C.  Body is good.  Drivers seat is worn.  Has 4 mud&snow
tires (unmounted). It's located in central Maryland.

What's the best way to unload this car?  I think it would be worth something to
the right person.  All suggestion appreciated.
