Diff output shaft oil seal

Driver's side output shaft oil seal gave up this past Sunday while turning
some hot laps at Pacific Raceways.  A review of the Bentley Service Manual
leads me to believe that replacing these oil seals is not brain surgery.  Am I
missing something here?  Any tips from this expert group regarding pitfalls I
should avoid in tackling this job would be appreciated.
