Hi all..
Well, here's my Homer Simpson move for the week. (I hope) Been fooling
around with the new cat,
and have had the temp sensor disconnected and tucked away under the fuel
line while it was loose. I've been having trouble getting it to fit in
the new cat's little pipe.
Well, off we go, the wife and I, last Sat for a afternoon drive around
the back roads.. Ahhhh.. wonderful!! But, what's that occasional
thunking noise while we're driving down the road? I pull off, it
dissapears.. look here and there.. but not under the car yet since it
sounds like it's in the trunk or the top fabric is snapping
occasionally.. Suddenly I realize.. I took the temp sensor down the
night before, forgot to tiet it back up, and I've been dragging it down
the freeway for the past 5 miles!!! D'OH!!!!
Of course it's chewed up, the actual tip part snapped off and the rest
looking like, uh, it had been dragged down the road.. Now I dont' have
to worry about the little ridge at the end preventing it from fitting in
the new cat...
So, finally.. anyone know the type of thermocouple that it was? Likely
candidates for a replacement probe? Need to know the type so that it
will read the right temp with the stock module, if I choose to replace it.
