Do you think that such a division will keep Alfa related topics on the
world list and the usa aroc political troubles on the other? One of the
2 lists will simply die. Happened to me w/ a Suzuki motorcycles list.
We divided into 2: one for serious topics only and one for offtopics: we're
all on the offtopics one now. The other is just silent.

The nice thing of the lists is the international value, letting
members receiving or giving help around. Also relationships between
members are great, and me too managed to meet some members and make friends.

Dividing is just bad to me.  I just hope nobody thinks dividing the list
into car series and models. Maybe even car versions. 
Who owns a 75 Turbo here? Just myself? Ok, a list for myself thanx.
It will be funny asking myself how to fix that nasty ARC xmas tree special effect ;-) 

Stay togheter, just get along this way.
