Re: [alfa] I have a timing problem

Christopher,
Since the distributor will only align with the oil pump gear in one
position, the only way to fix this "correctly" is to remove the oil pump and
re-install it in the correct position and that is a lot of work!
But, since that distributor has no idea where it is supposed to be, leave
it where it is and install the spark plug wires into cap holes in the correct
positions to fire the correct cylinders at the correct time. If the engine is
running alright now, this has already been done, leave things alone.

Subject: [alfa] I have a timing problem

I have a timing problem. When my no. 1 piston is TDC my distributor is
pointing to 100 degrees. It's my understanding it should be pointing to 60
degrees. How do I fix this? Please reply. You can reply directly if needed.

Thanks in advance,

Christopher
