[alfa] Autodelta Alfasud

My brother and I have just bought what seems to be a very cheap
exotic Alfasud for a measily $200Aus.

It is a series 2 Alfasud (1981), but with lowered Koni yellow
shock absorbers, Koni springs, high lift cams, and twin weber
carbies. It says on each intake manifold "Autodelta", and there
is what seems to be a factory "Autodelta" label across the top
of the boot lid.

Overall, the condition of the car is quite reasonable, except
the engine has bent valves due to a snapped timing belt. I have
two spare engines so it should be no problem getting it going
again. There is some rust across the top of the rear window on the
roof, but we'll get rid of this and respray the roof too.

But what we really want to know is, where did this car come from?
Is it something that was brought to Australia with its interesting
features, or likely to be modified locally by Alfa Romeo specialists?

Any info would be most appreciated, I'll post some pictures up
some where soon too.

Benjamin (and Josh)
Adelaide, Australia.
