[alfa] Driving on the wrong side of the road?

Germany also
used a "driver on the right" system for many years, including the second
world war, look
at pictures of the German staff cars for proof.<<
This was because they were normally driven by a professional driver. When
they stopped the driver
had to jump out and open the door so the passengers could get out onto the
pavement. With the
driver sat on the pavement side they could get to the appropriate passenger
door more quickly.
