[alfa] Alphas for sale in Berzerkeley, CA

Anybody who is looking for a good, clean, (mostly) rust-free "Alpha Romero"
(viz: S.F. Chronicle, 2/22/04) keep your eyes peeled on eBay and Craigslist.
There are going to be loads of them coming up for sale in the next few months as
all of the Glenns, Alex's, Johns and Dans-in-Berkeley unload all of the extra
cars they have littering their driveways and acting as planter boxes in the
mega-potholed and multi-speedbumped streets of Berkeley CA. Why ? Because their
new mayor (who only owns a bike !) in order to raise taxes to fix the above
streets has decided to heavily tithe all residents who own multiple cars. This
means that anyone who has more than one car registered in his/her/its name
will either have to get rid of the additional autos or pay a high tax on each. As
a result there will be some great buys as some of the great collections such
as David Love's go on the auction block. (p.s. I'll take the 1750 Zagato...)
And don't even think of bringing them across the border into Oakland - we
have enough problems with all of the high priced fancy restaurants and food
stores they are exporting here from the Berkeley Gourmet Ghettos !
