Hi Charlie,

Can't answer your question on groundings, but at least 
for me, the cuprit for the intermittent working turn 
signal was the bad connection of the relay in the relay panel under the steering column. deoxit/progold didn't 
help, I ended up bending the relay pins a little and it 
has been working well.

Now, talking about 164 LS electric mystery, my front 
passenger side power window control hasn't been working
for the last few weeks (driver can still control the 
power window though). However, it started to work on
Valentine's day as I drove my wife for a day trip! To
make it a mystery, it stopped working again the very
next morning...

One of those day i'll have to trace the connection in
that door as well... :)
