Hi Brian,

In case no one has responded yet:

If I recall correctly, you just need to pull back the carpeting on the 
inside of the trunk, and I think the whole light unit is held on by screws 
you can undo with your fingers. All I can remember is that it was pretty 
clear once I pulled the carpeting back.
