 I have a yakmia bike rack that fits onto the trunk of
a spider. This consists of two cross bars and four
feet.  The feet include "clips" that secure the cross
bars to the trunk lid.  You can then use a full tray
bike holder assembly from Yakima to carry your bikes. 
THis is truly the only way to carry bikes on a spider.
