[alfa] re: 115 gtv braking issue

today, the brakes suddenly did something odd and unexpected.
intermittantly, when i depress the pedal, it comes up feeing much
harder than usual with a much shorter throw. after a couple of stops
in this condition, it goes back to normal (for some value of normal.)

My Alfetta does this when it's cold and I start out in the morning.
I replaced the MC (not because of this; the pedal later went to the 
floor), and it still does this. I'm suspecting the booster or the hose
to the booster. Some vacuum leak?
