[alfa] Bosch starter interchangability

I have a Bosch 0 001 311 108 starter that looked like it might fit an 
Alfa V6, but upon taking actual measurements, it appears as though 
the bolt spacing is slightly off.  All I wanted to do with this 
starter was spin my spare motor to perform a compression test  I 
imagine I can make an adapter plate to get it to mount, but I'm 
wondering if its teeth will be compatible with the Alfa ring gear. 
Does anyone know if Bosch starter teeth are standardized, or what 
engine this 0 001 311 108 starter fits?
