In an interview with this week's Automotive News Giuseppe Morchio
announced that Alfa will not return to the USA in 2007 and that, while
it remains a "strategic" objective, there is now no date. He said that
FIAT needs to first fix its European problems including, according to an
accompanying article, a nearly 6% decline in European Alfa sales in the
2003 model year.
Disappointing but not a surprise....
