BTDT.  I learned the hard way that removing the exhaust manifold is the best
way to R/R the starter.  It may be possible without, but I could not
discover it in wasted hours of trying.  Removing the manifold is not that
hard after you take of the oil separator and idle actuator motor.  Also, I
installed the replacement using two bolts instead of three.  The third bold
is infamous for its inaccessibility.  Use blue loctite on the two.
