[alfa] Was Alfa spotting in Austin - became ID cards - AROC related

A couple of comments wrt Peter's following comments -
The NWARC printed up business cards for all of it's board members and any of the general membership that care to carry them. One side has a photo of one of various nice Alfas from our calendars a few years ago and the other side has an introductory statement, website, contact information, etc for the NWARC and individual. See an Alfa (without an AROC or NWARC decal) ?? Place one of these under the windshield wiper. Our membership went up about 20% at the same time we began using the cards. (We were implementing other membership incentives at the same time.)
I just received a letter from George Linton, AROC BoD, sent to selected members of each chapter, requesting input from the AROC membership on what AROC can do for the individual chapters. Here's an opportunity to comment. My suggestion is to contact George or Marc Mosko (e-mail addresses in the Owner) and give him these and other ideas for how National can help.

I actually suggested this for the CAROC chapter a few meetings ago. I meet
and see Alfa drivers all over greater Chicago that aren't club members, and
most don't even know there's a club. I wanted to use it as a tool to drum
up membership. I supposed the same could be done for Digest cards.

It would be a nice initiative for the National AROC to provide some better
marketing tools for us. Frankly, our chapter can't really afford to market
for the National membership. The affiliation money isn't worth the cost of
chapters doing their own marketing. However I digress.

So, what ever came of the high hopes of an AROC mailing list? I thought it
was to be discussed at the National this year? Could it be hosted by
Krusty? I hate to bring up the issue of AROC communication and chapter
support again but...
