[alfa] Re: 1986 Spider Engine Noise

Thanks for the reponses on my earlier question about my tapping engine noise 
(comes on after engine warm and is somewhat intermittent at idle).  Any good 
suggestions on how to analyze for piston slap or rod knock?  I've read about 
disconnecting the plug wires one at a time to see if noise diminishes but recall 
that can cause problems with the Bosch ignition?  Thanks in advance
